I was raised in a bookshop in Mayo, where my fascination with stories began. I have an MA in Writing for Young People from Bath Spa University and have had various pieces of contemporary writing published since graduating. I have been an editor of the online speculative fiction magazine 'The Future Fire' since 2009. I was commissioned to write a children's version of 'Dracula' in 2014. I was longlisted for the Mercier Fiction Competition in 2017 for a young adult novel. In 2021, I produced the first Irish-language version of the Rider Waite Tarot deck. In May 2022, I was shortlisted for the Minds Shine Bright short story competition. In Spring 2024, I launched 'Journey through the Tarot via Irish Herstory' on Substack that connects historic Irish women to each of the 78 Rider-Waite Tarot cards. In June,2024, I told my story, “Magic Illuminates the Mundane: A Story of Flidais” on the Knotwork Storytelling Podcast.
